Basically, In WordPress you have 2 ways to add or remove themes and plugins – direct method using GUI or server method using FTP. Before uploading files to website we recommend you first unzip downloaded tool and learn about it’s files.

This option requires source code modification to change official upgrade repository url, adding new functions and parameters to original code, deploy additional security checks. Therefore you can download all plugins and themes from your account under “My Files” tab and perform the update manually using FTP or admin area panel.
